Congrats! That IS huge.RedBEERd wrote:Scored BIG today. Had to go to about 4 stores and several miles to get my fix.....then treated ourselves to some of it on Draft at a local establishment. If Parish would make more of this, they'd make enough money to double their brewery. Seriously, it sells out in less than an hour when it hits the stores and somehow folks know when it's coming. Still the best beer made in La by far.......but competition is heating up, thankfully.

Some of my Kilt Skiers Bier de Mars, which tastes great and has aged super.
Why will be obvious if you look in another thread LOL.

How about a recipe, with approximate amounts of everything? It sounds delicious! I've never heard of a golden wheat milk stout and wouldn't know where to begin.philm00x wrote:This pic was from a couple days ago but I had one earlier today. It's called "Morir Soñando", also in proper glassware!
From Spanish, it translates to "die dreaming" and is the name of a drink that I call a lime creamsicle. The original drink comes from Dominican Republic, where my folks are from, and is made by pouring lime juice into a glass filled with crushed ice and sugar, and then milk is slowly poured in while stirring to keep the acid from the lime juice from curdling it.
This beer is essentially a golden wheat milk stout with limes in an effort to translate from creamsicle to beer...sicle. Next time I might add more lactose, but it's friggin delicious! Served cold, it's a lime bomb. Warmed up to about 50-55, the lactose creaminess comes through and tastes more as it was intended.
P.S. My dad used to make a similar drink for me and my brudders with grape juice, and called it a purple cow.

DORT. Because sometimes it's nice to have something solid, balanced and lagery.

Saison Brett, problem is I have not kept count of pours from the keg, will be a sad day when it kicks. It is light, tart, malt hints with a light hay flavor to it. Here's what it looked like prior to kegging.
My wife took this one through the lid early on in the fermentation.

Re: What are you drinking?
I bought a sixer of Sam Adams Rebel IPA on the way home from work. I'm in between batches right now as far as drinkable homebrew goes. I should be able to sample the Tennessee Cream Ale this weekend, and the week after that, I'll be able to tap the 100 Years War IPA.
