It's a six hour surgery, so a long day. We arrived at 5:15, she was in surgery by 7:40ish. Updates are that things are going well. The first three hours are focused on upper jaw, while the last three on lower. Figure we're 1-2 hours out from completion at this point, and then a few hours in the recovery room before being moved to her room for the night.

(EDIT: we're apparently around 3 hours out, based on the nurse update I just received... everything going well, but will probably by 3pmCT or later before done)

Popped the top on my Hickory Bourbon Honey Porter tonight. It's still a little young but I could smell the hickory and taste slight bourbon with the carmel notes of the porter.
