If you chicken-shytes ever came during crawfish season, you would not regret it at all.

Stone Thunderbird was pretty good. To me, not as good as Enjoy By or Ruin Ten but a close third place. I really didn't get the hops being anything different which surprised me. Don't get me wrong, I'm a Stone fan-boy but this was not superior though I'd not turn it down at all.

I'll be in San Antone next week, trying some of their craft stuff so that's not good for me..but Labor day maybe?

And you're welcomed down here anytime. I PROMISE paul and I will put a hurtin on you during crayfish season. It would likely embarrass us all but.........at my age WTF cares?

Its that time of the year!! Shipyards Pumpkin Head! I also noticed in the store a new shipyard pumpkin. It looked like an imperial of sorts. It was a 4 pack so I went with tried and true but will try the other one soon!

Love that glassware...

I'll go with My Gerst-y amber ale while contemplating bottling a cider or limeade gallon...

Inky inspired me to break out some proper glassware... so in order to use the proper glassware, I decided to open up a 2014 Yazoo Deux Rouges...

It's that time of year. I love Oktoberfest beers. I can only hope the one I brewed and am about to lager turns out good. I'm having one of these now from Sierra Nevada. I'm not saying it's the truest to style, I don't really know any better but it's so good. They did a colab with an old German Brewery to produce this. I think it's a nice Oktoberfest with a Sierra Nevada twist. Malty and flavorful but the hops are still there. Nice balance, great cool weather beer.

Last night I went out with a couple of buddies. Beautiful evening outside for some good food and beer.

Left to right:
Saint Archer Mandarina Pale Ale, Deschuetes Fresh Squeezed, something dark and icky.
