Time For A Game

Post by Chuck N »

Things is gettin' a wee bit tense 'round here so I figured I'd lighten the mood a bit.

I believe we've done this one before but the rules is simple: I'll give the opening and ending lines from a movie. First one to guess the movie - Google is NOT your friend here - gets the next turn.

Got it?

Here we go...

This should be an easy one...

"Think she'll get over thisaway?"

""Let's go get our cows."
Things men have made with wakened hands, and put soft life into
Are awake through years with transferred touch and go on glowing
For long years.
And for this reason some old things are lovely
Warm still with the life of forgotten men who made them.

Not True Grit. The last line in that is "Well, come see a fat old man sometime!"

I'm thinking Duval, but I can't name the flick.
Making beer and stew for the Zombie Apocalypse.
Never mind, there it is.

Oh MAN! You are on FIRE!

I'll give another hint. From close to the end of the movie...

"Are you the one who killed our friend?"

Is Kevin Costner in it? I "see" it in my head but I can't get the name to pop up. It was early 2000s movie right? It was "un western" correct? (pardon my French).

Is "Broken Trail" right? Or close? Or is that another not so old western? I know the film we're talking about, I love it. But I'm not sure of the title.

Another great Duval movie but not the right one.

Another hint:

"Un-Western" in French means roughly "A Western Style Movie" - which were wildly popular in France for some reason.

It was a Western style movie right? I can see scenes from it in my head, I just can't think of the name.

Duval & Costner =

Open Range

Sadly, I couldn't remember the opening or closing lines to even movies I've seen 20+ times (random movie quotes are a different story, I'm on point with that!), so i wont be very helpful in starting the next round

But you got it right. I have no problem looking up the lines on Google to start the round but try to keep the movie from being too obscure.

Since this doesn't seem to going anywhere (maybe the first/last line is a bit too hard?) I'll throw out a line from a movie I love.
It's not the first line, so if you don't want this thread to go this way just say so and I will delete it.
