Office cleaning

Post by Beer-lord »

I keep a ton of my beer stuff in my home office and between work and regular office stuff, I'm cleaning out beer stuff too.
Found 19 hard drives, most of which are pre-2005. Got a few 1TB's and a ton of 500 & 640 GB and numerous others.
Since I've beta tested for a number of companies since 1999, I have tons of free software. Most in fancy boxes you use to see in stores. Took 4 large garbage bags to get rid of them all. I think I may be a tech-hoarder now.
But I found an old timers bottle capper from the 80's when I brewed. It still works but is a bit tight and I'm just keeping it for the Beerlord Museum. :)

I'd rather have one of those than ten of the plastic crp being sold these days. I bet if you soak in some of Black Duck's Hop Juice it would loosen right up. :barman:

Here's some more Beer-lord history that I found.....my old, home-made recipes back in the day.......before many of you were even born or still watching Saturday morning cartoons. This is 1984 and the middle of my first brewing life. I got married at the end of the year and only brewed about another 2 years or so before getting on with my life.
Can you believe, 1 tsp of non-iodized salt? Hey, some things I DID NOT make up myself.

The quality of ingredients back then was pitiful and even then, we homebrewers knew it. It was relatively cheap but it was definitely hit or miss each brew day.

Very Cool!
For the record, I was neither unborn nor watching cartoons in '84. I was running a rescue boat for the USCG. Well, maybe we watched cartoons sometimes!
Making beer and stew for the Zombie Apocalypse.
Never mind, there it is.
