Re: The No Post Post
My son has been away from home for more than 4 years now but does spend much of his summer and Christmas break at home. He gave up his bedroom last year and I spent the whole weekend throwing lots of stuff away, donating old clothes and books and now I'm going to use it to store some of my beer supplies and instruments. Too bad I have to carry things up the stairs though.
But, are they really ever gone? You know what I mean.

My little girl had a blast yesterday at her first day of kindergarten. She said she made a new friend on the bus. She loved going to the cafeteria to eat lunch. But the best part of the day was the cricket that was in her classroom. She said it would make "that funny cricket noise" right in the middle of the story the teacher was reading. It was a good day!!!

Good for her, Chris. You never know how a child will react to going to school for the first time.

Fantasy football draft tonight. I am pick number 2 and I also got someones 2nd round pick from a trade last year so I have 4 picks in the first 24. Hopefully I don't screw the pooch on this one and get some good picks!
It is a keepers league so some of the good guys are already gone but I think I can scrape something together this year to be in contention i hope! I always over think this crap though. So I have had a few beers already to loosen the judgement

So......I have to be back at the court house in the morning. They're still weeding through jurors.
I text my boss........I have to be back at court in the morning.
His response..........All day?
My response back......I'll take "Things they don't tell you" for a 1000 Alex.
Though it could be about the beer.
There were A LOT of heads turn when the prosecuting DA ask what I did outside of work, while narrowing down the jury pool.
I replied, "I home brew beer".
Then when the defense lawyers time came. He said "It seems we have something in common, you like to brew beer, I like to drink it."
There was a chuckle throughout the courtroom.

I showed some of the guys I work with pictures of my packaged hops that I picked this weekend and said this is what I'm going to do when I retire in a few months and everyone said "you are growing Pot?" They can't tell one bud from another all packaged up

Re: The No Post Post
Not beer related, but I had a few after this catch. Been working overtime on the farmstead, getting tired and feeling like I'm getting nothing accomplished. So, I called up a bud and said, I NEED to go cattin! Next morn he was in my driveway with his shiney boat. Spent most the day on the Red River of the North, nice breeze, so quiet you could hear the birds fly by. At one point right across from us 4 eagles landed and watched us for a while. We were so thrilled to be watching them we did miss a few bites, but well worth it. Gorgeous birds! I usually have a camera with me, but this time I did not. The cell phone of mine has a crappy camera so the pics did not come out good. BUT, I did get a good pic of one of the kitties I caught, the weights ran from 10 to 25 pounds. You can keep/eat these fish, but up here in the cold, it takes round 15 to 20 years for a fish to get that big so we turn them loose. I figure if they can survive the wild river predators and other fishermen, they deserve to live on. Of course, my bud had to outdo me, but I did not care, I was sooooo thrilled to be part of the biggest cat he has caught in his life. All in all it was a fantastic day, one that was seriously overdue. My bud's pic is the first one, I'm the bottom pic.

Sounds like a ton of fun. Must be exercise bringing them puppies, er, cats in the boat.

Some nasty storms rolling through tonight. This is the view from my kitchen. These pictures were taken in burst mode and are in succession.

Those pics are cool! I hate those storms that come in fast and hard. The straight line winds can cause lots of damage.

Nice pics, Chris. I love thunder and lightning because we rarely get it here. When we do, it's a treat (kind of like rain at this point!).
Re: The No Post Post
Sittin at the bar of Rockmill Brewery. It's a small place a drive by to and from work. Really cool place. Not sure what to drink.
