That looks so good I had to go get mine for the BeerBorg Fantasy Football draft. Your right...it's really good. Full of hop flavor without a huge bitter bite. Smooth and Tasty.

Thanks Ron!!!

I was sober when I posted this but it is HopSmack not Slam. Dayum, it's tough getting old, even with glasses.

Ofest tasting for the evening... figured I'd go with the one that I had the least amount of promise for. Abita lived up to tradition (for me, anyway). Not malty enough for the style, but not offensive. Ehh... meh.

My tripel saison. I wasn't going to bust open another bottle for at least 2 more weeks, but my curiosity got the better of me. And it actually worked out, this is good. But it will be my only beer of the evening. Just smelling it gets me drunk. I'll post pic/thoughts in its thread.

Nice Glass! Hmmm, some root beer sounds good, especially with some ice cream as pictured!

I'm enjoying my vacation time with some 100 Years War IPA, fresh from the keezer.

This is an extract recipe, by the way, created when I wanted to brew but didn't want the hassle of AG. And this is a good IPA, if I say so myself. I usually make my fivers AG batches, and experiment with expedient extract recipes for the 2.5 gallon batches. But the 100 Years War turned out so good, I decided to double the ingredients and keg it earlier this summer.

I do love my AG recipes, mostly because I have so much more control over the ingredients. But let's not be Grain Snobs. Extract recipes can be mighty satisfying, and I'm very pleased with this recipe. For the record, anyone who might be thinking of combining Centennial hops with Warrior hops -- DO IT!

Well....yeah, that's the whole point of the name. Fortunately, the clever name is also justified by the great beer.
