My neighbor and I brewed a 5 gal batch of Brewers Best Irish Stout today. Early samples were quite tasty.

Re: What are you brewing/bottling?
Such a better brew day than last week. Kegged 10 gallons bozones' pale ale. And brewed 10 gallons of Whams cream ale. Today way made up for last weekend. Things couldn't have gone smoother. New thermometer and plenty of co2 and a new regulator. It was one of the shorter brew days I have had. 8 hours start to clean up. With any luck this should be the last time we brew with our old setup. The brew magic should ship next week.

That's great to hear. Glad things turned around for ya.

Thanks. It is good to have the pipeline up and going again. I was having withdrawals all last week.

Re: What are you brewing/bottling?
Kegged the Ottertoberfest this morning! It's been lagering since some time in late April/early May, and it's smooth as silk and clear as a pane of glass!
Gonna let it sit for a month at ~10 psi and then draw the first pint at the beginning of October. Because it would just seem like cheating to drink an Oktoberfest before, y'know, October.

Maybe not, but you'll be filled with regret by Columbus Day, and you'll be despondent by Halloween.Inkleg wrote:I've been pouring mine for two weeks now and don't feel cheated at all.FedoraDave wrote:Because it would just seem like cheating to drink an Oktoberfest before, y'know, October.

Currently on step 2 of my starter for my Dead Guy brew this Sunday. Timing will be perfect for Halloween, too!
