Swen, I'm visiting my son in Oxford, MS and they have this and 3 or 4 other Yazoo beers in Kroger Supermarkets as well as in some gas stations as well as draft at Growlers. I'm pretty sure not many of these college kids would appreciate this but I like almost anything rye.
I think I could have guessed this was a Yazoo beer if I were blindfolded (that's not a knock either) since I rarely taste any Perle beers and I definitely get that in this beer.

Sun King Drink On And Prosper, the official beer of Gen Con '15. A blonde ale, but with a crazy flavor profile due to the addition of brown sugar and caramelized dark fruits.

Parkway Brewing's "Get Bent IPA on Oak" , their signature brew age in oak barrels. YUM!!!

I need growler 101 lessons though since they didn't bottle this limited release, I don't know how to pour from a growler if there is a "right way" so I got a pretty big head on the glasses.

Also Noobie growler question: do we have to drink it all in one sitting so it won't go flat? :o ..... :D  cereal for dinner.

My growlers with a good deal can last more than 24 hours though the cheap caps probably won't last that long and you'll loose some carb.
That beer sounds awesome.

The side by side on the Get Bent is amazing. The oak (not bourbon) barrels released a resiny, nutty, earthy, silky "thing" into a really great IPA.

Ironicaly Beer-Lord right before you posted to this thread I said to BB2 how I wished I could afford to ship beers because every time I taste this beer I think of sharing it with the Three Amigos, the Side Kick and the Evil Twin.

I'm pretty convinced that you guys would like it.

That sounds really interesting. I also find that you've got about 24 hours post-opening before the growlers tend to go flat.
Part of the issue is that you end up with a lot of headspace after the first pour(s) so the carb escapes and sits there instead of in the beer. I guess that means you're drinking more tomorrow!

My last bottle of Stone Thunderstruck. Still fresh and good. Not my favorite Stone one off but I still very much enjoy it.
