I personally hate hearing about these transactions and Gymrat hit the nail on the head. It is only a matter of time before you start to see the influence they will have.
Keeping existing people onboard is a classic takeover tactic across corporate models globally. They never stay and change will happen.
To resolve this maybe we, the craft brew consumer aficionados, should all stop singing the praises of our favorite breweries so publicly on social media and conspire to keep sales at unimpressive levels so we can keep the product to ourselves... OH ... but that might mean I'll never get to have a... fill in the blank .

On one level I don't like these acquisitions but on another I think they actually might make room for one the many new breweries to find a bigger niche.
There are so many great breweries now that I'm not going to worry about finding quality beer.
I don't think it's selling out for the owners of these acquired companies to accept these deals. More power to them! It's a hugh risk to open your own business. Good for them.
I'm feeling very uneasy about the 50% acquisition of Lagunitas. Lagunitas already has grown large enough to hold their own as far as distribution and production volume goes. Honestly, I'm feeling like the peak of the craft beer revolution is here and Big Beer is trying to extinguish the fire.
