Probably. I'm sure my daughter could do it, but she's in Europe on her honeymoon right now.

I did figure out how to download the image, but I can't resize it to make it fit the entire label. So I made a label with what I had, and now I don't know how to print it.

I'll look at some other sites, but this is getting frustrating. I have a low tolerance level for this kind of thing. And I especially have a low tolerance level for people who tell me, "No, it's easy!" because that only makes me feel stupid, since I can't do something that's so "easy." But I've come to realize that most computer things are counter-intuitive for me, so it takes me longer to "get it." And let's face it, anything is easy if you understand it and know how to do it. Landing a plane is easy. Performing an appendectomy is easy; surgeons do it routinely!

So don't tell me it's easy. It's difficult for me because my brain, while usually pretty good, just doesn't work that way.

Dave,

If you know the dimensions the site wanted for the label, I can resize the image for you.

Beerlabelman (haven't seen him active on the Borg in a while, but I'm sure he's reachable by PM) sells some sweet reusable labels, 4" X 3.33" six to a sheet. While they're called reusable, they're really more like "easily removable." They come off the bottle almost as easily as they come off the printed sheet, but not always in pristine condition. I bought those from him, and I use the Avery template (easily found on the web) in Microsoft Word to put the label images into that template. I print them from MS Word, slap 'em on, and voila.
I do my label designs in Photoshop Elements, but any graphics tool -- including websites like beerlabelcreator and beerlabelizer and others -- can do the job, too.

Dave, my brother, I am so there with you. Computers frustrate the heck out of me. Want me to change a timing chain? bleed a diesel? strip a .45? build a boat? I'm your man. Post a picture on a forum? Flocc that! :o

@ FedoraDave

I'm not your guy on that one sorry to say...

I did try though...

I went to Labeley and determined the image minimum size, resized the sample and tried to upload it and it just hung up every time I tried.

It might be the fact that I'm using an iPad and not a Windows PC, don't know.

In fact, the filter work and text on the sample were also done on the iPad with a program called Rookie.

Maybe @Sparrow can get it to work... Good Luck!

I don't use anything but a Sharpie on my brews so there ya go...

But the image look cool so I thought I'd try to pin down a 'look' for the text.

So Dave, it's not just you having difficulties with labeley, and up till 7 or so years ago I was a web developer...

I was finally able to get something "somewhat" usable on the site,
fedora.jpg
fedora.jpg (94.44 KiB) Viewed 2085 times
I had to play around a bit with the size in order to get Labeley to show most of the image. I can send you the final I had to use for Labeley if it will help, or maybe there is another option for generating labels?

Sparrow rocks big time. Truth.

Sparrow, I'd appreciate you sending me the final, and I'll see how I do with labeley. I'm still not quite sure how to generate a page of labels, so I'd have six to a page, but maybe that's something that's revealed after the final design is complete. Frankly, I couldn't even find a print option. When it comes to websites like this, I'm extremely counter-intuitive.

This whole experience makes me feel like a kid who needs his meat cut up for him.... :(

Thanks Dave and Inkleg, it was actually a fun little project that allowed me to contribute back in some small way for all the knowledge Dave and others have shared over the years. At least it was fun right up until working with the Labely site.

I know others are using it successfully, so maybe I'm over thinking it or something? Just seemed way to difficult to get the image set up right, heck, its easier to use an image from my computer to make a coffee cup on Walmart's site,,,,,

Anyway, Dave, I sent the image I used on Labely to the Verizon email I had on file for you. If that's not correct PM me and I'll resend.

I did receive the email, and thanks. I replied with my continued difficulties, so check yer email. All of this stuff is very counter-intuitive to me. I know what I want it to do, and it should be simple, it seems to me, just to make it a point and click kind of thing, but it's too involved. Too many steps. And every site is different, so you have to try to get into the designer's head and think like him.
