Dude...they haven't even broke ground yet. But when they announce they are accepting applications, you'll be sure I'll be dropping a resume in. Since it will house it's US corporate offices, I'm sure they'll need a marketing guy or two. And one of them should be me!!!

Re: BrewDog in America
Just got home from a "town hall" style meeting that BrewDog held in my hometown. There were 3 BrewDog staff members and one local guy from the Economic Development Committee. Pretty interesting meeting. It was 30 minutes of company history and background, then 30 minutes of their plans for the local bewery/facility, then about 30 minutes Q&A.
They have a final planning meeting next Monday to make sure all the codes and ordinances are in order, then it's game on. They are planning on breaking ground next week after that meeting. The finance guy that was there from Scotland said their plan is to put beer in glass at the taproom July 2016, which is a really agressive time line.
It's gonna be good.

Re: BrewDog in America
That's purdy cool. They didn't pass out beer or schwag, though? Missed opportunity for some "free" marketing!
Re: BrewDog in America
Were the 2 dogs there or just their bean counters?
Wow, that's a quick timeline but if it's just the taproom ready by 2016, that's not hard to believe but looks like great news.

Neither of the two dogs were there. They had their finance guy in the crowd, then the three presenters were their expansion guru who was hired locally, their Gatekeeper (kind of like a Human Resources title here in the states) and another guy from Scotland who will oversee the project. And that timeline is not just the taproom....that's whole shootin match. That's beer brewed on site and then served in the tap room. They did pass out some swag...like stickers, pins, etc....but no free beer.

Re: BrewDog in America
That's great. Hopefully the place has a great vibe when it gets opened.
Re: BrewDog in America
I really think it will. During the meeting last week, they were talking that the resturant and bar will be molded after their locations in the UK. NONE of which have TV's in them. They pride themselves in providing a casual place where friends and family can gather, eat and drink good beer and enjoy the conversation and company they are with, and with the people they will meet there. They provide all sorts of board games to play also. They also said kids are very welcome to come along and play the games too.Kealia wrote:Hopefully the place has a great vibe when it gets opened.
This actually brought quite a large amount of applause from the crowd gathered for the meeting. I'm looking forward to it.
