My score above, Stone has come back out with their Vertical Epic series. I started enjoying them in 2005. Don't know how many they might do (09/09/09) was my favorite. I feel they are worth getting. I always get 2, one to enjoy now and the other years from now. I still have a 12/12/12 in the fridge.
Stone has all the VE recipes online. I brewed the 09/09/09, it was yummy.
Terrapin Blood Orange IPA and Wicked Weed has finally arrived in my area.
Oh and Rum.........well just because..........well it's Rum.

It's 4 not 6, but it's 4 I've never had.
I'm drinking the Divergent right now. I've been to Riverton brewery before when I was in Cincy and the beers I had were "meh". But I have never tried their sours. So I figured what the hell, as these two Riverton sours were the only sours on the single bottle shelf.
Divergent is not a true Berliner IMHO, but I like drinking it more then any of their other beers I've tried. It's sour and lemony but one noted. Good German Berliners have more going on. This beer is filtered all to hell, which I don't really appreciate in a Berliner - that might be contributing to the single notedness... This beer is carbed nowhere near enough as well.
That said, it's easy to drink if you like sours. Would be good lawnmower/post cycling beverage.
The fruit flies in my house like it. For whatever that's worth.
OK... now onto the Soulless.
So... compared to really good Flanders Reds this kind of lives up to it's name. But it's not a bad beer. It is the best beer I've had from them. It just wouldn't win any medals as a Flanders Red if put up against really good examples. It has all the right notes to be a Flanders Red, but they are a bit subdued, none of them pop. It's too sweet/malty on the sweet and sour balancing act that is this style (IMHO at least), and has very noticeable caramel/toffee (maybe some diacetyl ) flavors that kind of muck up the appropriate tart cherry/grape/raisin/chocolaty vibe that is there. But if you wanted to introduce someone to sours who has never had one and didn't want their head to explode, this would be a good and cheap ($2) intro. People who think they don't like sours would probably find this drinkable. It is the best $2 Flanders Red I've ever had. Because it's the only $2 Flanders Red I've ever had LOL ( that I didn't brew myself). I'd buy it again for $2. Just don't try to compare it to Rodenbach. It is not in the same league. But it's also not in the same price range.
If I happen to end up at Riverton in Cincy again, this is the beer I'd drink.

I found me a 5th beer. Will probably try it after I go out cycling in a bit.

It sounds good to me. While I like sours in general, I REALLY like my sours aged on fruit.That said, it's easy to drink if you like sours. Would be good lawnmower/post cycling beverage.
I'll be interested to see what you think of the Deschuetes beers. I really like the Fresh Squeezed but it rubs some people the wrong way.

I'm going to try that later tonight perhaps. I don't usually like really fruity IPAs as much as dank/earthy/piney ones, but folks here seem to like it enough they tried to clone it, so I figured I'd give it a try. I hope this Goze doesn't totally wreck my pallet first. I'll probably eat a bit before I switch gears. I posted my thoughts on what are you drinking thread.

It's doesn't have a big bitter bite, but that doesn't bug me. It's got enough pineyness to make me happy. The fruit is of a kind I like, and doesn't seem "artificial" like some fruity hops do to me. I like the touch of malt sweetness (or else that sour so screwed me up that anything will seem sweet now LOL). If I'm not imagining it, I guess some west coast IPA only types would hate on it because of that, but I'm not one of those types. It reminds me of beers I've made that I liked a lot.
So... yum, I'd drink this anytime.
EDIT: I think I like this better then any mosaic beer I've had. Somehow the Citra is bringing out the inner Simcoe of the Mosaic, which is a good thing for me. I might try that combo now. I would never have done it before.

I LOVE the Fresh Squeezed too. It's one of my favorite IPA's out there.

Excellent beer but to me the difference in taste between the bottled and draft versions seemed to be very different. To me it seemed more 'citrusy' in the bottle, which I like.

Glad to hear you like it. I think some people do find it too sweet but it was one of the first IPAs I liked and I still like it along with my dry West Coast IPAs.
I may have to queue up the clone recipe of this again. The last time I made it I really liked it and that was with the bittering hop swapped out because I thought I had something I didn't.

Got a mix 6 at a place called Fresh Market. I got a Left Hand: Milk Stout, a SN: Nooner Pale Ale, a Dead Guy: Rouge, a Monday Night Brewing: Drafty Kilt Scotch Ale, an Abita:Wrought Iron IPA, and a Abita: Pecan Harvest Ale. I've had the milk stout before but it's been awhile and it just sounded good.

Back from another mad dash over to Greenville and never leave without a stop at Trader Joe's. Aside from the salsas and some soon to be football day fare...
We hit the beer and wine isle:
This time we got:
Trader Joe's Vintage Ale (for cellaring) "Unique and limited edition, this Belgian style ale is crafted once a year as a special treat for those who appreciate flavorful, bottle-conditioned ales with character". Now how could we possibly pass that up? We got three for cellaring.
Trader Joe's Hibiscus Tripel "A generous dose of hibiscus flowers lends a crimson tint and a hint of cranberry tartness to this tripel, melding with tropical fruit undertones and spicey phenolic notes from the abbey ale yeast." ??? SHOULD I CELLAR THIS??? DON"T WANT TO LOSE THE HIBISCUS. There is no bottling date.

Peter's Brand Classics Dutch Style Pilsner

They also had just stocked their Nouveau season wine so I grabbed a few of those.

My opinion would be to consider the Hibiscus (Flower) as a Hop (Flower) and drink it now.
