Re: The No Post Post
yesterday, I signed the papers. I am going to be retired from my job of 31 years. the good news, I will make almost the same as I am making now and don't have to go to work every day anymore. have been waiting for this for a long time. Now will have more time to make beer.

Congrats on the retirement. I'm not sure I will ever be able to retire and I'm envious.
Now go and brew some retirement beers.

Yazoo/Jackie O's collaboration went down yesterday. We'll see the results in a year or so... Yazoo has also done recent collabs with Upland and Rivertown. I hope this trend continues...

Took advantage of AIH sale and Rewards points and picked up the Cereal Killer Grain Mill $79.00 free shipping couldn't pass up. Question is what gap setting is optimal? Do mash in cooler tun not BIAB, always relied on the setting at LHBS being correct, since he brews to serve at the shop and grinds his grain on the same equipment and haven't had a problem w/efficiency.

I've got the Barley Crusher and kept it at default setting of .039. In fact, I've never ever adjusted it.
You might just try a smaller batch at that setting and see how it goes first but too much and you'll get a stuck mash.

Re: The No Post Post
Thanks, I tried something different yesterday when I mashed in, I used a grain bag inside the mash cooler and I think I will continue to use it. The cleanup was a breeze, pulled the bag let it drip for a bit then turned it into an empty bucket and emptied it, plus I think it will prevent a stuck sparge.
