NOLA Wanderying EyePA

Post by Beer-lord »

Yesterday RedBEERd and I retreated to NOLA Brewery for a few beers and great BBQ and weather than to another local and tiny tap room.
NOLA has a new and much larger and improved taproom with 23 of their beers on tap, many only available there. Sour dudes, sorry, I didn't go there since I wasn't having too many and paced myself.
They did have a new IPA (you knew we would not pass this up) that was pretty good. I'm not sure they use acidulated malt here often and I never did find out. It says it's the most hops they've used but it didn't taste like it was any hoppier than their other very hoppy beers. Of course, to me, I can taste a NOLA beer a mile away as I can Abita and my own swill as I can Stone or Sierra Nevada but, this one was enjoyable as was the day off of work.
FYI----LAGNIAPPE is a term used often here for something extra or not expected.
