Hyperlinking and genericthread
Is Info and Announcements the 'catch all' posting thread? Like the Community Drain Pipe.
OK, help a brotha out please. I feel stupid and I visit many forums but how do you link a site? You know, type a word or phrase and hyperlink to it? The URL option at the top doesn't work for me.
I feel like such a newb.

Re: Hyperlinking and genericthread
when you get into the compose window at the top you will see a button called URL that will add the code that you need then adjust it as you see below to create the link.
Also you can highlight a part of text then click on the URL button and it will partially set it up for you.
Code: Select all

Still doesn't seem to work for me or I'm a complete idiot. I set it up just like you did but still only see the link.

Re: Hyperlinking and genericthread
it worked
"Filled with mingled cream and amber
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chambers of my brain
-- Quaintest thoughts -- Queerest fancies
Come to life and fade away;
Who cares how time advances?
I am drinking ale today."

I don't like to be taken away once I'm logged in here to places like youtube or a link I can't idenitfy.

Valid solution, but not everyone knows those shortcuts. I brought this to Louie's attention a little while ago. It is on his list.RickBeer wrote:Hold down the CTRL key when you click...Brewbirds wrote:When I click on a link in a thread the link opens in the same window where I am logged into the . I'll usually right-click on a link and the browser will have an option to open the link in another page or tab. But yeah it'd be cool to have links open in another page/tab automatically.
