Re: AB vs craft beer
Of course. Why fairly offer your beer on the same shelf as someone else when you can dunk their head underwater?
Re: AB vs craft beer
No matter what AB says...... they either want to buy out the craft brewers( they have an offer on the table for Cigar City Brewing ) or they just want
to crush them....Sorry AB and their ilk just want to make me puke .!!..!!

Re: AB vs craft beer
Our local markets sell more craft beer than AB stuff thought it's likely close. But the other places sell more AB.
They are running scared as they see the numbers are not in favor of them each year.

Re: AB vs craft beer
They have marketed themselves right into a corner. The way they have marketed themselves towards a certain kind of beer drinker they have at the same time alienated another class of beer drinker. Unfortunately for them, one class is shrinking while the other is growing... and for them it is in the wrong direction.
They could easily brew craft beer styles of their own and no doubt do it very well. The problem is we will never buy the stuff labeled AB and they've taught generations of their own drinkers "I don't like dark beer. It's too bitter" or the old Bitter Beer Face commercials.
Their only options are to shove craft beer off the shelf or outright buy those brands that are selling.
Sucks to be them.
