Congrats again! Re your observation that the highest points don't necessarily win BOS, the judges try to use an objective scale and rank the beers within a round, but different judges will end up higher or lower than others. Then the winners of each round go into a BOS round, with the most experienced judges.

Just heard back from the brewery - the fundraiser we're brewing the beer for is not till April, so it looks like we will be brewing sometime in the new year. I just have to be patient!

Just reading this thread now. I think it would be really cool to have my beer on tap in a local place - and with the proceeds going to charity, that's a huge bonus.

Just heard from the second competition I had entered. Alas, no BOS this time. However, my Baltic Porter took 2nd place in Porters category with 39 points. Curious to see the score sheets!
