Well, that stinks. I had a MB spigot fail but not with beer in it. I always thought the barrel design was unwieldy and easy to spill, too. My favorite was the Cooper’s fermenter because the spigot was so easy to clean and attach securely. It was 6-gallons but I did many 2.5 gallon batches in it with good results. This one:

PS: I would love to have the recipe for the Choco-Coco Wee Heavy, if you are inclined to share it.

Better bottle is still in business. Apparently they had a flood at their manufacturing facility that caused a shortage for a while, but I think they're back in production again.

Good news though... what I salvaged into a taster tasted phenomenal. Double sigh...

Sorry to hear you got swened on that one, but glad you got to salvage some of it, it sounds good.
I guess I'm luckly never had a spigot failure on a LBK, but I always have heard everyone talking about it. Well I shouldn't say never here was one of mine with a bad spigot..........Image....
It had help getting that way though, knocked of a table onto a cement floor, luckly just starsan in it. :)

A little under a gallon transferred to one of my 1 gallon cider carboys. I'm sure it got the snot oxidized out of it, but the only other time this happened, it ended up being one of my favorite brew ever. Which, of course, made it all the worse that i only had a gallon... but, Rdwhahb
