I've had that before. That is a spiced beer done right, really enjoyed it.

More Hops Matter.......eh, underwhelmed so far. I think there's still some hops in suspension causing a green type taste. If finished much like I wanted but these will be bottled Sunday and hopefully age ok.

Hopsperiment/Chinook. Pretty nice summer session beer, sez I. My review is in the Hops forum, in the Hopsperiment thread.

I had a glass of Ye Olde Devil Nut Brown Ale today, bottled 4 Gallons of that today too, thinking about having a oatmeal stout. That all grain 1G oatmeal stout recipe actually turned out pretty good, I wasn't for sure how it would taste.

New Belgium RyePA from a Spring Folly Revival 12-pack I got for $12.99, which I thought was a pretty good price for 12 beers at my local Target.

I like it. It has a lot of rye character and I love the hops used (Simcoe, Galaxy, Cascade, and Mosiac).

Now I want to brew a Rye IPA again.

New Belgium Citradelic. From that same 12 pack.

It's a lot like drinking orange marmalade on toast. I like it too. Although I'd like it better if it was more juicy and bitter.

I just finished a Simply Irish Red from Hop Hero, while it's not bad it also needs to age a little longer as it's got another week for the 4 week carb/condition. And since I've got more beer in front of it, it'll probably age a while longer. I'm now drinking a Nut Brown Ale from BrewDemon, pretty good with a slight nutty flavor at the end so I guess it turned out as it's supposed to.

The limited edition official beer of the NHL All Star weekend is spot on. Yazoo Winter Park American Wheat. Citra and lemondrop give a nice hop nose. Comes off a bit like a baby west coast, but definitely carries the wheat character.

Here's Neil on one of his various interviews from this weekend... Go Neil!

Blanche De Chambly (bottle refermented white ale on lees-with coriander and orange peel) from Unibroue.

I am one that would not want a Belgian ale every day but I enjoy deciding on occasion to have the Belgian.

This is a really good white ale with a completely normal 5.0 ABV. Very nice.

Devil Anse IPA from Greenbrier Valley Brewing...

A good IPA, but yet another beer that doesn't live up to the hype. I've heard great things here locally. A couple of their other beers are also solid.... Mothman Black IPA and Wild Trail APA. Solid beers across the board, but not off the charts as reported.
