Yes it is Snowmageddon for us here in the Commonwealth!

Thankfully, this thing, in a sense bombed! In my area they were talking 24-30" and
although we are experiencing snow bursts right now, we only have about 10" as of now (8:45 am)!

WHEW!

It could end up around 13-14" which is manageable, even for Central Virginia.

It also prompted me to do something I shoulda done years ago...buy a snowblower!
I cleared mine and two of my older neighbors driveways yesterday in way less time than it would
take to do mine with a shovel!
One promised me a 12 pack of New Belgium Accumulation for my Super Bowl party for doing that! :D
Yeah, I'm cheap and easy!

I know my back appreciates my new purchase, especially since I've begun to experience sciatic problems.

Be safe and warm people, and stay off the slick, snow packed roads if you can!

We've got 5+ foot high snow drifts here already and can see the grass in other spots, lots of wind and snow. No need for us to even think about leaving the house until possibly Monday. I'm snowexcited!

No wind here, but 22 inches and counting. It is still pouring down.

My area of southeast New York isn't too bad right now. I'm thinking I should go out and shovel, just so I don't have a whole lot to clear later. But by and large, we're just holed up and taking it easy this weekend. The missus just baked cookies, and I did a thorough cleaning of my brew pots this morning. We have provisions, and there's no need for us to try driving anywhere. New Jersey, and the coastal areas, such as Long Island, are getting the worst of it, it seems.

Was to only get 1-3" North of Pittsburgh where I'm located. It seems that we got about 6-7". Not that big of a deal. Hope those of you south and further east are doing OK. Have a Great Day!

Well looks like we got 26-30 inches although we have a lot of 5+ foot snow drifts everywhere.

Power never went out and even if it is still cold a little sun goes a long way. It's melting almost as fast as it fell. 24 inches total and calling for almost 50 degrees tomorrow. It's going to get REAL messy.

We were lucky this time too, the lights stayed on throughout the storm. It may be a few days before the mailboxes are dug out, but we're in no hurry for bills and junk mail anyway.
