I brewed a BrewDemon Wild Spirit IPA today, this is one of their 6G signature series recipes, 2 big 1.7Kg cans of HME. This is the first big batch for me, most of mine had been 1G, 2G, & 2.5G. We liked this IPA when I brewed it in a 2.5G volume, so I guess we'll see if this one tastes just as good… In 7 weeks, sigh.... :orderbeer:

I have another one to brew, a 3G Extract w/steeping grains American IPA recipe from Hop Hero, but considering how long it'll probably take me to bottle this 6G of beer, I think I'll wait 'til next Saturday to brew the other one.

I also just got a couple stepped drill bits (ie. hole saws?) and drilled some holes in my fermenting buckets, wow that worked great. Makes me wonder why i waited so long to buy them.

Brewing up a Scotch 80 kit I bought on sale at AIH, at my wife's request. Haven't done extract with steeping grains for quite a while. One hop addition? It's almost too easy, and should be done in about 2 hours.

Maybe I should do extract more often!

Haven't brewed yet this year myself, but I did just clean the keg and carboy that were soaking in Paul's shower. ;)

Today I plan on brewing what could be final BIAB beer....my Nelson Sauvin Pale Ale. After this my equipment will be here and I'll likely be doing all batches with that.

Edit: Ok, I have no Nelson Sauvin on hand....how they hell did that happen?
I'll be pivoting to use what hops I have on hand which means a combination of Amarillo, Simcoe, Mandarin Bavaria and Magnum. I'll pick up some NS in time for the dry hop, though.

Finally bottling my poor measly remains of the Coconut Caramel Wee Heavy. I lost 2/3 of the batch to spigot failure, but managed to transfer to a different fermenter and then spent some time this morning bottling the nine bottles....

Had about 5oz remaining to taste. Flavor is all caramel, chocolate, and coconut. Really liking it. Will have to make this again...

Just bottled a lemon wheat beer for SWMBO. This is the third time i have made this and i must say it is a good spring time porch pounder about 4.3 ABV and a nice citrus finish but overly lemon.
Brewing a Pale Ale tomorrow before the Big Game.

Lemon wheat is a nice session beer for warm weather! I formulated my Sunbonnet Lemon Wheat last summer, and it's going to be in the pipeline every year!

Had a nearly 8-hour homebrew day today.

I had wanted to bottle my 2.5 gallon batch of Hopsperiment/Mosaic yesterday, but after running my errands in the morning, I was just too tired and unmotivated, so I spent the afternoon vegging out. Went to bed earlier than usual, woke up at 5 am this morning, and got started right in on bottling the Mosaic. After that, I brewed a fiver of 2Daves Irish Red. Should be a good batch, and it'll be kegged and ready to draw by St. Patrick's Day!

Finished all my clean-up around 12:45.

I may need a nap before the Super Bowl....
