Vegas Baby!!!

Post by k9dude »

As most everyone knows I'm here in Vegas. I don't have a lot of free time, but if your ever here let me know and we can try to hook up for a brew! Lots of great places here to grab a hard to find craft brew, so even if we can't get together I can point you in the right direction for a great beer!! :give:

Interesting weather stat this morning. If you combine the total rainfall for Cedar Rapids and Iowa City this month, it is less than Las Vegas...

To be fair this is our Monsoon season, so it's the ONLY time of the year we get rain, but is kinda scary to think a desert is getting more rain than a state in the farm belt!!

k9dude (or anyone else w/ such knowledge) --

Are there some good brewpubs in LV?

I'm not going to be out there any time soon :( but I've got a buddy who's going this weekend and he appreciates a good craft brew. He was asking for Vegas tips (I used to go out once or twice a year, but that ended one decade, a marriage, a house, and a few kids ago) :( so I figured I'd go to "the source of all beer knowledge" on the web to get some pointers to pass along.

Here's a few I've been to. Sin City Brewing CO. http://www.sincitybeer.com/ It's on the strip, I went to the one at the Flamingo they say they have two other locations also. The Chicago Brewing Company at the Four Queens Casino http://www.fourqueens.com/ This was next door to the Hotel/Casino we stayed at the last time we were there, down town Vegas on Fremont St..... And my favorite Triple 7 Restaurant and Microbrewery at the Main Street Station http://www.mainstreetcasino.com/dine/tr ... crobrewery also DT by Fremont St. This one is excellent and a great buffet there too. K9 Dude told me of local ones (to him) that he thought were better, but I haven't heard from him in a while and We wanted to hook up the next time the wife and I go there.

Thanks, Berryman, those look great. I was concerned after posting that I had not specified that my friend is a Vegas Virgin who would only out there for a few days, so it's likely that he won't be straying too far from the Strip and Downtown. I didn't want anyone to spend a lot of time pointing out brewpubs in out-of-the-way locations that a tourist wouldn't likely travel to. But those are right "in the zone" so I will be sure to pass those along.

Thanks, again!

I 2nd the Triple 7 at Main Street Station. That was one of my favorite stops out there last fall. Had their sampler and really liked all of them. Food was pretty good too, and pricing was very good for Vegas.

Yeah, checking out the Triple 7 website, it looks like a seriously-cool place.

Wish I was going out there, myself...
