Super Bowl 50 menu?

Nothing goes better with a home brew then a good home made meal. Have a special food recipe you would like share or a food pairing with your favorite brew. Let the Borg know here.

Super Bowl 50 menu?

Post by Crazy Climber »

Anyone have any special food and/or beverage items planned for Super Sunday?

I've probably made my chili recipe for SuperBowl 25 times. My old room-mate throws a big house party, with football themed foods, games, prizes. I'm proud to say that the chili is highly anticipated. Friends that cannot attend ask for some to be saved. So, the biggest iron kettle comes out of the cabinet on Saturday.
I'm also bringing Pliny Clone and Maureen O'Hara Irish Red. And a twelve pack of Brooklyn Lager.
Making beer and stew for the Zombie Apocalypse.
Never mind, there it is.

Nothing fancy, here -- wings, pizza, snacks and beer. (Hmmm....nothing HEALTHY, either...)

In 2011, I cracked open my very first bottle of home brew during the Super Bowl. Hey, I just realized, this will be the 5-year anniversary of that! :)

This year, I don't have a lot of homebrew to choose from (thanks to the gusher situation described here viewtopic.php?f=10&t=5340).
But I do have a few bottles, and I might do a growler fill @ the local brewery this weekend, to back-fill.

That sounds really good Ray.
My chili is on the stove now. This year's modification is a bottle of Scotch Ale in the pot.

Sriacha (sp?) mac n cheese and beer. I worked out hard this week and tomorrow is a serious "cheat" day. I plan on feeling like crap on Monday.

Didn't go all out on the game fare. It's just me and The Bhoy-o watching the game, and I spent nearly 8 hours this morning bottling and brewing, so I'm not in the mood to cook.

SWMBO got us sandwiches at the deli while she was out grocery shopping. Roast beef on a roll for my son, and corned beef on pumpernickel for me.

We have chips and homebrew, and I really don't feel like overeating just because it's the Super Bowl.
