I'm in the basement too. It runs in the upper 60's during the winter and the around 70 to 72 in the summer. Seems to work fine!!!

Our beer has kindly allowed us to keep two bedrooms and two bathrooms for our personal use while it has taken over the rest of the house. :lol:

I brew and bottle in the kitchen, ferment and refrigerate in the dining room, condition in a pantry, store empty bottles in a guest room (newly unfurnished) and wash bottles and LBKs in the utility room.

Hey! I just realized that my whole house is a man cave. :banana:

I use a mini fridge with a JC in the summer months.
In the winter months, my closet stays about 64 so I tend to use that.

In the basement, laundry room. In winter it stayed a nice 68, but in summer it got hot if the A/C wasn't on. Now I have a compact fridge that fits 3 LBKs, and a Johnson Controller.

Kitchen pantry on the second floor of my home (ground level). Super consistent temperature on the second floor; first floor is mostly underground.

Ive been doing mainly saisons and wines this summer but usually the basement wont top over 70-72. Ive found if I set things on the floor with my fermentation chamber around it (a big arse garbage can with a paintcan heater) the cooler floor will suck the heat out of it. In the cooler months I still use the "fermentation chamber" albeit with the heat on. Looks pretty silly according to SWMBO but will do the trick until the inlaws find me a suitable fridge/freezer on a garage sailing trip.

Ales in lowest level's spare shower. Lagers in the basement pantry of one of the non-carpeted closets. Like most MI folks basement pretty much stays in the mid 60's. I found that if I use a piece of aluminum or cast iron under the primary, secondary fermenters or a corny keg. It keeps the contents in the mid 50's without tying up a frig for lagers

Styrofoam cooler in a closet with radiant barrier cover and ice bottles...
Could maintain hi-40's but generally ferment 50-52*F.
Luckily retired so I can change out ice bottles when needed.

Basement. When it runs 65-68 just on a shelf. When it's hot like the 100/101 it's been last few days, in a cooler with ice bottle which keeps it at a steady 64 F.

My basement gets as low as 59 in the winter on my middle shelf... 56 at the floor. That's when I brew lagers.

But it gets up to 78 at times in the summer even with the AC running. That's Saison season.

In the warmer months, I use an air conditioned "chamber" using the energy saving mode. Cooler months, into the basement, temps at 68*

Keep my fermenting and conditioning down in the basement. Fall through Spring the temperature ranges from 62-68. Summer temperatures are above 70 because I need to run a dehumidifier, so brewing has to wait until the heat and humidity break.
