I opened 3 different packs of mine bought a 3 different times and it went from 5.5 to 6.3. Obviously mine did not come from the same place.
I'm told when it's harvested makes a huge difference as well as where it's grown. Those are 2015 so they are the freshest yet. Mine is from the 2014 crop.

I've had 7% cascade before but never 9%.

Some Cascade whole leaf hops I picked up last week: 8.1%

Someone else has already thought of this but, why aren't we charged by the percentage of alpha acid, similar to how we're charged more for a higher alcohol beer?
