AURORA HOPPYALIS
This is the next beer that I am searching out. I know a few stores near my work have it so hopefully it won't be too long before i can find some.
"Aurora Hoppyalis is our San Diego-style IPA brewed with Simcoe, Mosaic, Amarillo, and Citra hops. Robust flavors and aromas of tropical fruit, pine, and tangerine linger through a dry, crisp finish"
Re: AURORA HOPPYALIS
Damn, why didn't I think of this name?
Never heard of it but the hop assembly looks nice.

The same combo is in my Belgian Summer IPA that went in the keg about a week ago...
Early sample are outstanding so the Aurora Hoppyalis should be pretty good...
I will look for it also!
Re: AURORA HOPPYALIS
I think it just got released and I'm normally reluctant to buy a sixer of something untested.
But it's Karl Strauss. And it's got Simcoe, Amarillo, Citra and Mosaic.
And I can always share.

Re: AURORA HOPPYALIS
Oh, crap. This is good beer. It smells exactly like you think it would: fruity, piney, citrusy, a bit resiny...and that is exactly how it tastes, too.
Nothing is over the top and it all plays together nicely to make a complex and tasty beverage. I find that if I allow it to touch every part of my mouth and tongue I get different sensations and flavors.
While I liked the recent Firestone Luponic Distortion because it spotlights a single hop with a simple background in the grain bill - this is the opposite of that. Lots of different flavors playing around and man, if I could get that complex aroma on one of my beers I'd be a happy camper.
Well done, Mr Strauss.

Thanks for sending one of these my way Ron. I poured this one late last night. I said in an earlier post, that you couldn't go wrong with the combination of hops that are in this. And there couldn't be anything further from the truth.
WOW...this is a great beer. I really wish I could get this where I live. It was so full of fruitiness, kind of felt like I was drinking a blended juice of pineapple, tangerine/orange, and some tropical stuff in there with a little pine too. My palette isn't all that sophisticated, but this is one of the few beers that even I can pick out each one. So refreshing and so easy to drink. Very Good....thanks Ron!!
