Hey Jon, hope you are alright out there. It looks messy.

From the looks of things on the news Houston has more than its share of water to deal with, hope you are on higher ground out there Jon.mashani wrote:Hey Jon, hope you are alright out there. It looks messy.

Thanks all, I am doing fine!
We live right on Buffalo Bayou, but up the bank quite a ways, and while the water got REALLY high (like maybe 30' above its normal water level), it never quite reached our apartment complex. We never lost power, and we filled lots of bottles with water.
The only downside was that we almost ran out of beer!
So we're making a plan to keep emergency beer (and wine) stashed at all times...we should be in better shape once I finish putting the brewery (and the kegerator) back together and get a pipeline going again.
I should post some pics I got of the Bayou, but I've gotta lot to do at work to make up for losing a full day of calling (we're still expected to hit our weekly goal, even with one less day--so I'll have to run extra shifts tomorrow and Thursday to try and make up the hours) and I'm lazy.
