Re: Recipe Collaboration Exchange!
As much fun as it was last time, and it definitely helped me advance my brewing big time, I am having a hard time committing this time. As busy as I am, I don't know if I would ever get to brew the beer. If nobody has any objections to a partnership where I may not have time to brew the beer before the next RCE rolls around, I would consider joining if it would help someone brew better beer.

Such hilarious visions clamber

Come to life and fade away;
Who cares how time advances?
I am drinking ale today."

Re: Recipe Collaboration Exchange!
JimH, I would encourage you to commit. You can always write the recipe down and brew it when you get a chance. The point of the RCE is working with a partner to create a recipe together, NOT to brew it by a given time. So give it some thought, and post your decision. You may have the opportunity to make someone a better brewer!
JimJohnson, I'll put you down as a 3, since we don't do decimals.

JimH...what Dave said. In addition to the beer recipes, it's a great way to meet new friends. You may come out of this meeting someone and communicating with someone that creates a great new friendship. The freindships created doing this can sometimes be better than the beer you brew!!!

I'm gonna sit this one out, but encourage all to get involved! I'm afraid I may get ordered out of the country before I get a chance to brew much more.

Ahhh. My favorite thing. Id love to go this round and probably will but for now hat, put me in the bullpen. If you end up with an odd number I can fill the void. Got a vacation to Mexxico coming up in 3 weeks and a few work seminars outta state shortlynthere after. Level 4/biab is my forte for now but Im happy at level 1 if it evens things up. I'll know my schedule for sure in 2 weeks.
Re: Recipe Collaboration Exchange!
I'm pretty busy with work, but if you end up with an uneven number of folks and you believe that extra person will "stay in the game" as such, and you need someone else let me know later. I'm happy to work with any level of brewer. I'm just limited to 16Q pot, as in 2.5 gallon batch sizes if doing a full volume boil or any total AG recipe, so keep that in mind.
Re: Recipe Collaboration Exchange!
Great idea guys. I can't commit this time around. I have quite a few beers on my "To Brew List" as it is. I need to knock out a batch or two real quick and then start my lagers. I'm always playing around with recipes, and trying to figure what I'm brewing next.
I'll tell ya what, if anyone wants to simply pair up to knock ideas around or needs some help. I'm a level 4 all grain brewer. I also work on a lot of clones if anyone is interested in that aspect. Right now I'm looking at a Classic American Pilsner with my home grawn Sterling hops and a Baltic Porter with Vanilla, Chocolate and maybe Hazelnut. I'm always up for playing with recipes and knocking around ideas but I can't commit to brewing anything soon, I got a few on deck right now.
