That shouldn't matter too much. It's only a quarter pound. It was more for color than anything else.

I'm planning to brewing a batch of Belgian Witbier on Saturday and drinking some Hiphopapocalypse IPA.

I have to bottle the PacTiki Pale Ale this weekend, and on Sunday I'll brew a batch of Hopsperiment/Palisade.

Re: What are you brewing/bottling?
Busy morning, fixed a port that was not flowing gas in my keezer (4 way manifold) then kegged 5 g batch of Bourbon Barrel aged Dry Irish Stout (barreled 4 weeks), 5 g Bottoms Up Brown and 5 g The Mather Steamship Cali-Common. Since I need another 5 g or 2.5 g (have 1) 2.5 empty/sanitized) keg, going to wait on the PGA Cider (Pear/Ginger/Apple) till next weekend so I'll hit that with another 2 cinnamon sticks cracked and soaking in vodka tincture. Now time to head out to campground to blow leaves in anticipation of the new camper to be placed next weekend.

Brewing a summer session ale:
Here’s to you, Grandpa!
The story behind this is, my grandpa had a skunk under his front porch that he referred to as his “kitty.” His eyes would twinkle and he would ask us grandkids if we wanted to meet his kitty. Then he’d bang on the porch floor with his cane and make it spray. We thought it was hilarious (and we still do). Grandma, not so much. Here’s to you, Grandpa!

Yeah, sounds like something a Grandpa would do. Things were different then. One of my Grandpas was nicknamed "gunny" because he blew a hole in a kitchen wall with a shotgun when he was a kid. When he was young, another grandpa could tell how cold it was in the dugout they lived in by checking to see if the glass of water beside his bed was frozen or not. When I was in High School, someone threw a skunk in the girl's gym locker room. No one could go back in there for a couple days, so your Grandma was right to think it wasn't "that" funny.alb wrote:....my grandpa had a skunk under his front porch that he referred to as his “kitty.” His eyes would twinkle and he would ask us grandkids if we wanted to meet his kitty. Re: What are you brewing/bottling?
Over the weekend I made a 2 gal Brew Demon Wild Spirit IPA and a 1 gallon Brewers Best Pineapple Wheat.
I was pretty excited to use my new wort chiller for the first time. I must say, why the heck did I wait so long to buy one? It cooled these small bathes down in minutes.
NO MORE ICE BATHS FOR THIS GUY!!

Congrats. I feel like that every time I change a process or get a new piece of equipment, too.brewnewb wrote:Over the weekend I made a 2 gal Brew Demon Wild Spirit IPA and a 1 gallon Brewers Best Pineapple Wheat.

Funny story Alb, I bet Grandma didn't think it was funny when Grandpa had you pull his finger too!!
Thanks Jeff it was time for new the old one was 16 years old and starting to show it's age, paid off the black car and the camper payment is actually $60/month less than the car payment.
No that feeling all to well brewnewb. Every time I seem to kick myself and say why did I wait so long to do this.!!
