New Brewers in the Family?

Post by TonyKZ1 »

Over the last weekend (Mother's Day), our family gathered together at Mom's house like most families do for dinner and socializing, etc.. My brother and nephew were both interested in brewing after I left them some of my home-brewed beer the last time we were together. This time I brought them each an extra LBK, a box of empty 1L bottles, and a 6pk of assorted recipes in 12oz bottles that I had brewed. Needless to say they were excited about my gifts. My brother has been keeping me updated while he's drinking the 6pk, apparently he likes them. I've pointed them to Mr. Beer and BrewDemon for 2G refills/recipes and I believe they have also seen them in some of their local stores.

That's really awesome and a great way to get them into brewing. You've made it pretty easy for them to get on board without them having the fear of it being overwhelming. I hope it works out for them and you can swap beers with them in the future.
