Yeah it is a capacity thing. You can pull out the spent grain, and put in some fresh grain and go that way. Not sure how that would affect the enzyme conversion. The problem with a parti-gyle, is you would need another boil kettle. That would defeat the purpose of the all in one deal. Their claim is 1.065 is the largest beer without any additions.

All I can say is WOW. This thing is awesome to use. It does take a little longer to brew due to the heating of liquids, but the easy of use far out weighs the time. Cleanup up is a breeze. I had the mash tube emptied of grain and cleaned up before the boil even started. I am uploading pics to photobucket and then will postem

Your making me really want the smaller version. I've been eyeing it for years now... just waiting until I have money with nothing better to spend it on.

Pretty sure they now offer a 3rd and even smaller version. Pricey though.

I missed this post somehow. That is a nice system! Sorry to hear the problems with the sabco.

Alrighty then. After many brews on the speidel, we decided to try and go for more volume. We have tried several different ways, and the best way is to do a mash with slightly more grain than you would normally use and then dilute with water after the mash tube is pulled out to get the brix that I want for the pre boil. I absolutely love this machine. I can start at 8 am and have 14 gallons in the fermentor, yeast pitched, and all cleaned up by 1- 2 pm. Just doesn't get any easier than that. And my wife and I have not had on argument on brew day. On the sabco, we fought like cats and dogs. I still haven't sold the thing, and there are a lot of them out there for sale so I will be taking a hit on the thing. But I still have my marriage.

Too bad you can't just set up a "Beer Truck" (like a "Food Truck").

It is all about money. We are planning on doing a beer truck in the future, but you still have to have a place to manufacture the beer.
