Well, actually, Summer isn't over until 9/22 but I see what you're doing? A time curve! I like that.

I know I actually got that down, but any excuse to start on the fall beers sooner works for me!

Got a Porter and a Nut Brown fermenting now plus trying to condition out the weird flavor in the MB batches so we have a start on fall brews here too.

My hope is that a few bottles of the Belgians I have brewed this summer can last until it's time to brew more. The temperatures are already dropping, but my plan is to brew a couple more saisons before these conditions are gone.

I hate to see summer go, but the return of cooler temperatures will allow me to get brewing again. First up is the Fall seasonal, then a porter.

HMMM? Well you say "down here" so I want to think Florida right off the bat but I didn't see a mention of No See Ems so you you could be another suffereing Texan.

Are you brewing through the heat or do you have to quit for summer? This is the first time we are brewing "Seasonals" but not going crazy with it.

Quit? During the summer? Sacrilegious even if I say so myself...over 100* almost every day for 4 months and NO WAY do I even think of quitting. Igloo ice chests & 64 oz frozen water bottles gets my lawnmower beer brewed just fine. The idea has never crossed my mind just my techniques or brewing styles only. JHough is correct in Hell or Hot, that is Arid-zona seasons summed up nicely (well, we do get a freeze every 5-7 years but)...And yes i am looking forward to the months of 70's & 80's here shortly. I love the outdoors and the heat isn't kind to those who work out in it for long stretches of time. Amen to Summer coming to a close and football season kicking it back up.

I'm looking forward to brewing something besides a Saison, Belgian or Wheat beer... but for now it's still very much summer here, so that will wait.

In due time the ponds will freeze over and we can break out the skates and sticks. Along with some winter warmer home brew. I will always enjoy playing hockey in the great outdoors. But not quite yet....its golfing season still.

Man I'm jealous. I'd love to play hockey on a frozen pond. Gonna need some ice skates first, though. We don't get this freezing thing down here in the wang state. But, it's always brewing season!
