He's not really beer lord, he's more like beer nerd, beer geek, beer techie........but he's got good beer so I'll leave him alone. Besides, I'm dying to try his latest black IPA and if I piss him off, he's likely to cut me off.

That's not unreasonable with a big yeast pitch and slightly warm fermentation temperature.

Hell, throw like 3 packs rehydrated S-04 in a 1.035-1.037 OG wort and I'll bet you could get there...start the fermentation at 65*, ramp it up to 70* over a day, hold it there for 4 more days, cold crash to 32*, add gelatin and put it on 30psi. Maybe even do some speed carbing while it's at 32*, before you add the gelatin.
