Question for the tech savy

Post by Gymrat »

When I bought my LG G5 I kept my Galaxy S4 for a backup. Is there a way I can set these phones up so that I can find my S4 on a map with my G5? I think it would be nice to leave my S4 in the trunk of my Buick when attending a Royals game so that I can use my phone to locate the car easier. Kaufman stadium is a HUGE place.

I don't know. But I'll bet you could use a gps map feature to place a mark where you park the car. Or take a picture of the nearest section sign.

Never mind, there it is.

Last time knowing the section sign didn't help at all. My date and I went out a different door than we went in and I couldn't find our section. I finally waved down a worker on a golf kart and asked him. Turned out we were on the wrong side of the stadium and he gave us a ride to our section. My Camaro has a GPS tracker I can use through an Onstar app that shows a map with my location and the location of my Camaro. I won't drive my Camaro to Kaufman Stadium, I just wondered if I could do the same thing with my old phone to find my Buick.

OK I think I see how I can mark my spot on google maps now. I will try it next time I leave the house.

I'm glad. I've never tried it with land maps, but I can place marks on nautical gps.

I think there's probably a way to do it, but since you've got an android device, it's probably easiest to fire up google maps, make your car the starting point and go to the entrance, then do a return trip.
