Re: Opinions?
I think I kinda remember having this same conversation here about a year ago, about the same article or from the same author.

You wouldn't want to eat the "original" versions of corn or apples. Just because it's done quicker, and in a laboratory, doesn't mean it's "bad" or "evil." It's just streamlined, the same way we don't use rotary phones anymore, because speed dial is more convenient.
Like dogs. My wife's Shih Tzu(or my Pekingese) is a long way from something that could actually survive in the wild(I do think a pack of Jack Russell's would do well). Like the man said, we've been doing it for a very long time...To everything IMHO they're not leaving as much to chance as some people think. We've been doing this or so long we already know what to expect from the plants. Could this be perverted? (shrugs) Sure, but so can Lasik surgery. Don't see that stopping anyone.

"Filled with mingled cream and amber
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chambers of my brain
-- Quaintest thoughts -- Queerest fancies
Come to life and fade away;
Who cares how time advances?
I am drinking ale today."

Yeah, I had my kidney stone treated with a non-invasive technique. Worked great. Much better than when my dad had surgery for his kidney stones back in the 70s. He had a scar that looked like the surgeon climbed inside to get the stone out.jimjohson wrote: Could this be perverted? (shrugs) Sure, but so can Lasik surgery. Don't see that stopping anyone.

It could be worse. I knew somebody whose doctor showed him this long tool and said they could get the kidney stone out using that. He was ready to go that route until he asked the doctor where the incision would be. The doctor told him there was no need to make an incision because there was already a way in.FedoraDave wrote:Yeah, I had my kidney stone treated with a non-invasive technique. Worked great.
