Good to read things went well. It is great to hear of folks rallying around a friend. It sucks to see somebody needs rallying around.
Agree. Cancer sucks.

@swenocha unfortunate as it is that your good friend has to go through all of this, I'm sure he takes comfort in knowing that he has such a dedicated friend as you. I wish him the best and hope for the most successful outcome for him and his family. Cancer has touched so many of our friends, family members and acquaintances that I bet all of us know someone who's life has been affected by it. The treatment, recovery and outcome rates today are many times better than they were even 5 years ago, we're all wishing your good friend has a speedy recovery.

To close the circle on this... Jeff passed away this morning. I'm sure that many glasses will be raised in his honor in the coming weeks as we celebrate one of the mainstays in the Nashville beer community. Mantra is considering making the 'Goo Goo Gish' beer a winter seasonal in bottles, so his legacy will likely carry on well into the future.

You have my condolences as well, Chuck.
I'm very sorry for your loss and for those who knew and loved him.
While it may seem trivial, I too will raise a glass in his honor tonight.

I will drain that glass again.

Come to life and fade away;
Who cares how time advances?
I am drinking ale today."
