Damn Whamo, stay safe out there in Cali. I hope they can get a handle on all those fires soon. Just curious though if you brew something right now will it have a smokey character to it?
Right now it's in the mid 80s but the humidity is 120%. It rained most of the morning which I'm thankful for since it meant I didn't have to or do a few other yard chores leaving me more time to brew! Just about to add my second hop addition now.

Ok so I put this one to bed and I was pretty happy with how everything went today with my process. It was just like riding a bike. Once I got started it was all good.
The estimated OG on this recipe is 1.067. I checked my OG and got an OG = 1.063 (Refractometer) I then discovered that I forgot to add the honey at the end of the boil so I heated 1/2 lb of honey on the stove, let it cool and added it to the wort. Rechecked the OG after the addition of honey. OG = 1.067 (Refractometer). Not bad for my first AG BIAB brew in almost 9 months.
