Love the look of the ribs and the way the turkey sounds. It's making my mouth water.

Pressure washed the north side of the house today...
what a chore! :(

Got a spatchcocked chicken rubbed with green's seasoning on the Masterbuilt
along with some Atomic Buffalo Turds!

Been a tough week and I'm looking forward to this one!

Didn't get a pic of the end result, just of the preheat beer, but I did grill some chicken thighs and some veggies. Nice n easy.

My two brothers and I, along with our kids celebrated our parents 50th wedding anniversary tonight with a prime rib dinner at home. I made a 13.25 lb. prime rib roast. Oh my goodness was it good. The family time was great, the stories and memories were amazing and the food and drinks were wonderful. I couldn't be luckier to have the influence of my Mom and Dad.

That's wonderful right there. Married for 50 years. That's not something you see much these days. Congrats to them and the whole family.
I hope if I can live long enough to make it to 50 someone cooks a meal like that for me. Oh, and pays for a trip to New Zealand too! :)

They are now tightly wrapped with some brown sugar, honey and some apple cider vinegar for the next 2 hours.

I'm taking Monday as a vacation day, since it's Columbus Day, and SWMBO has the day off. So I told her if she bought a roasting chicken when she goes grocery shopping on Sunday, I'd make a beer-can chicken on Monday.

For some odd reason, I recently bought a six-pack of Schaefer beer in cans. It's completely flavorless. I'm not kidding, this stuff has no flavor that I can discern. So the only good use I can think to put them to is beer can chicken.

And my beer-can chicken is better than Schaefer beer. So I consider it an investment. Maybe I'll tell her to buy two chickens. No reason I can't slice up, vacuum-seal, and freeze a bunch of sliced-up chicken.
