Epic thread on HBT

Post by bpgreen »

Beginning brewers often ask how that can start brewing with the least investment.

I'm not sure I've ever seen somebody ask how to start with the biggest investment.

Until this guy

I was reading some of this at 4am after warming up a bottle for my 3 month old daughter, my wife heard me laughing from her bedroom while she was feeding her. I only got to page 8, so I've got a lot more reading to do. I've got to wonder if this guy is for real or not. Some of things he says are just so nonchalant.

For example, these two lines absolutely kill me:
"I have been drinking a bottle of vodka a day for 20 plus years how does that make me a troll. The cheap bourbon is what kills people.
I have bought a domain name. I have started a blog and I also have a 10K budget for my homebrew."

Can't wait for lunch so I can continue reading.

Thanks for posting this piece of entertainment!!

I think he is trolling. that or he is a fool. But who am I to speak, I have 2 15.5 cuft chest freezers and 2 refrigerators on my patio. I designed my kitchen around brewing when I redid the kitchen and I have pots that I don't even use anymore.

OK...I'm reading more and laughing even more than I did last night.
He posts this question:
"Question:

Can anyone recommend a good keg system for 5 gallon brews? I would like to keep it under 100 grand!

Thanks!"

And gets this as an answer, which is an absolute winner, follow the link:

"Gotcha covered Altrez! I think I found you the perfect kegerator selection.

IT'S EVEN ON SALE!!!"

This guys is really something else!!

Brian, thanks for posting that. I just spent about 3 hours reading, that I should have been outside working on something, always tomorrow though. I liked this one:

Hahaha, and a few months back I posted that thread about how to make 5 gallons of beer in a cheap 6Q soup pot, while living in a Brett filled house. And it's actually good beer, I was drinking some of that just the other day and liking it quite much.

I thought he was trolling at first.

I think he's exaggerating his consumption. If not, he's never sober. A person can't metabolize alcohol add fast as he says he drinks it.

But I think he's really taking things to the extent he says he is for equipment. He's even posted pictures along the way (you need to wade in a few pages to see that).
