For anyone looking to move to Illinois...

Post by swenocha »

Here's a home you may want to look into: Realtor.com link

"This home was extensively renovated in 2008 according to the design of architect and historic preservationist Adam Johnson of Galena. The original owner was Peter Specht, who built the home in 1842, as a home and a facility for his brewing company called the "Illinois Brewery". Peter was a brew master from Bavarian before settling in Galena."

"Now down to your fermentation cellar that has in floor radiant heat and would make a unique man cave."

Uhh, no. That wouldn't be a "man cave"...

Wow that's quite a property. Although expensive, it's listed for much less than I thought it would be.

I like it but never going to move.....But gave me some ideas, maybe a little fake stone mixed with the wood in my basement lounge Hmmm. I've done the fake brick before in my house and looks good.....Nice I would like to live there not even caring what the upstairs looks like.
