Re: New Member Introduction/Question
Hello fellow brewers! My name is Lance and I am new to home brewing. I live and work in the middle east and even though beer and spirits are available here at liquor stores there are no craft-brew pubs or much selection beyond the mainstream brands. So I decided to venture into the homebrew world. So far I have been brewing from extract using the BrewDemon conical fermenter. I have tried about eight different recipes from brew Brewdemon and Mr. Beer. The last batch I made was a Witbier that I doctored. I added crushed cardamon seeds and Orange Marmalade to the wort and it turned out delicious! I look forward to more experiments and eventually working my up to full grain brewing. Thanks!
Re: New Member Introduction/Question
Welcome Lance, I'm Jeff, great to have you here. I think you win first place for furthest brewer on the Borg! Glad your beers are turing out well for you and please feel free to ask any question you might have. Most if not all of us started with MrBeer and BD and have branched many different directions. We all remember where we started and the help we got along the way and try to pay it forward.
I have a question. How are you controlling fermentation temperatures? With your forum name and location my mind sees the lost person in the desert with vultures circling overhead (great for Saisons though). Not the climate controlled environment that you live in.
Sorry if this sounds a little weird, others will vouch for me, I am.
