Sad to say but the title is true. We put a contract on another house in May and put ours up for sale. We closed on both at the end of Aug and we are SLOWLY moving into the new but MUCH smaller house.
I left a nice, dedicated 10 * 10 basement area that had a laundry sink right next to a work bench with all my brewing supplies. I may have to go back to smaller batches in the kitchen until I can rig up an area in the laundry room.
My son in law has my single tap kegerator and my 2 tap system was built into my old bar and left for the new owner.
The good news is that we plan to build out a new bar this winter. I'm hoping to do a nice 2 tap system and move my single tap onto our deck.

I can completely relate. Moving is not good for keeping the brewing pipeline going! I'm sure you'll get back to it soon enough, and it sounds like you are already planning bigger and better things in your new abode. Congrats on the new house!

I had a near miss on another house lately, one with a walkout basement and an outbuilding! But the taxes were more than twice what I pay now, so I keep brewing in the yard. (The new taxes were more than $1000 per month)
At least you have a really good reason for your lay-off. I've gone as long as three months just because.

It's one of the reasons why, after several moves, when we finally bought a house, I told my kids that when I die, they should just bury me in the backyard, like a pet gerbil. I ain't movin' no more.

Nice view! I know what you mean about waterfront. We live on a few acres with lots of woods near Ann Arbor. My in-laws lived on Lake St. Clair which connects to Lake Erie and Lake Huron. While they are now in Assisted Living, we will be keeping their very small home (1.5 bedrooms) because of the view. Amazing sunsets. No boat yet, trying to justify having a boat for using mostly during a 10 week summer.
As of now, we aren't considering living there full time.

We are in the exact same boat but haven't brewed for over year as we had a very hard time finding a house.
We'll have room for brewing here but can't get up and running until remodel is complete.
I envy your lovely view, that is what we had to leave behind when we sold our home but our lake was almost empty because of drought when we decided to leave.
Don't forget about the thread "SMEIBBs Corner" on the Borg. If you want to brew on a smaller scale, in the kitchen, that will put homebrew in your house.
