attention former MBF-ers...
wazzap y'all?!?!
it's me, Higgs, aka John aka Natty aka natural320 from Little Bastards Brewing Project
just wanting to check in for the 1st time in a loooong while. after moving to TX, we found ourselves in the midst of a complete reno of our new house. lived with the parents and my in-laws from like April '15 through February of this year. it was umm, let's say OK but we are quite grateful to them for all their help. in the end it was worth it, and the wife and I love the way it all turned out.
after that, I immediately cranked out a few batches, only to discover that it is STUPID hot here, and I am about to build a fermentation chamber because I basically had to take the summer (haha here that means May until like, yesterday) off from brewing. way too hot and the yeast would not have been happy with me. I plan on brewing tomorrow morning though, so that makes me happy
one sad note for those that may recall my 2 kitties...the white and gray one, Mickey, tragically and unexpectedly passed away, literally days before we moved into the new house. I didn't think it would hit me as hard as it did, but I was a mess. he was only like 8, and it looked like he had a heart attack or something mid-stride running through the hallways. but his memory lives on!
so that was for all of my MBF friends that I just tracked down after realizing the old site disappeared. and to all my new beerborg brewing buddies, it is a pleasure to meet you all, and I certainly look forward to getting into this community as much as possible.
prost!

Hey Natty, Kenny from MBF. Some guys changed screen names when they came over, just keep an eye out for familiar avatars.
Glad to hear you are getting settled in. Also glad you made it over here, everyone is great.

Kenny and Whamo! nice to see you guys here I was actually looking for some familiar screen names and avatars, saw a few I think, but I will wait it out to to be sure. why on earth would Jon go to Houston? haha why would I go to (just outside of) Fort Worth? I can only hope he has had a good transition himself.

I've thought about mammy on occasion. Hope he is well. It wasn't looking on the up and up for him the last time I remember hearing from him.HerbMeowing wrote:Have you heard from Mammy lately?

Glad you found us!
There wasn't a lot of advance notice when MBF shut down, so a lot of people probably didn't get the memo.
