Laptop screen went dark. Ordered part that may fix it. Dropped tablet and shattered screen same day...
Discovered tablet unrepairable. Bought new tablet and one for SWMBO with her ok.
Michigan won.
3 week in bottle Die Hearted, a Two Hearted clone, was great.
Edit - $3.50 inverter arrived today for laptop screen. It was either the inverter, or the backlight, and the backlight is much harder to replace and more costly. Inverter worked perfectly, back in business.

Thank you Beer lord
Re: I deserve a homebrew because....
Because I finished my school assignment. It was a 4-5 page white paper on any topic in Physical Therapy. I could not for the life of me think of a good topic. I finally sat down and started blocking out my thoughts and it turned into something completely different: the neuroscience and developing treatments for chronic pain. Thank goodness for websites that automatically format citations. I turned it in 2 hours before the deadline! So I'm sipping my orange Belgian. I'll give my final review on that tomorrow.

PT is important stuff. (From a guy who has dislocated a shoulder, fractured same shoulder, and put a knife through a finger since 2012) Thanks!

Dave, many people are allergic to nightshade, and arthritis can be inflamed by it. Nightshade includes potatoes, tomatoes and eggplant. My arthritis improved dramatically when I cut down on tomatoes and eliminated potatoes from my diet. I also stopped eating anything that gave me other allergy symptoms, like itch in my throat. Those also affect my joint pain.

I've found that it's important to make identifiable changes, then wait an adequate time to see if the change helped. Too often people make a change, and 2 days later say it did/did not work. That goes for meds and food changes also. Keep track (on paper) of the changes you make to see their impact.
Also, everyone is different. Some who get migraines find that caffeine helps. Some find it brings them on.
I recently went on a new med with 30 days at one dose, then double the dose "because the initial dose often does not work". The first dose did nothing, but 3 weeks into the higher dose I began experiencing the side effects and with the doctor's approval stopped taking it. Took that long to impact me.
Nightshade is a new term to me (just looked it up), I thought John was allergic to eating a blackout shade and couldn't figure out why he would do that...
For chronic arthritis, relief can often be found with Tylenol Arthritis Pain, which is an 8 hour med, taken every 8 hours. Depends on the severity. Movement is always good.

Dave, the most reliable way to manage chronic arthritis pain is to get flexible, and stay that way. Flexible muscles don't put as much compressive force on joints at rest, and allow the joint more directional options (we use the term 'glide paths') to find a balanced ideal. Although some people may exhibit a sensitivity to nightshades, to my knowledge no formal research has ever confirmed a relationship to arthritis. A couple of studies the past few years have shown anti-inflammatory properties in virgin coconut oil. I eat that all the time, as it has other benefits as well.FedoraDave wrote:Good job, alb! For symptomatic relief, this is what I use and recommend. It's been used in PT clinics for years and is now available at Amazon, Wal-Mart, etc. It's not a miracle but it's good for temporary relief. Doesn't smell too bad. Also comes in a roll-on.

My very elderly father in-law gets Bio-freeze rubbed into his neck 2x a day and says it is great. We buy the 16 Oz pump bottle at Amazon, but the 32 oz is even cheaper, but too big for the med cart where he lives.
