Oatmeal Stout

Post by MadBrewer »

Oatmeal Stout was my first all grain batch after brewing with Mr Beer and then extracts/grains in general. 6 yrs later or so later now I figured I was about due for another Oatmeal Stout because that one really sucked. It was thin, no body or creaminess, it was over carbonated and the recipe itself needed help...you get the idea. My wife really loves Tyrenena's Chocolate Oatmeal Stout that comes out in the dead of winter. So like I mentioned in another thread I will be adding cocoa nibs after primary fermentation.

This was one of those brew days where everything went well and smooth. That doesn't happen very often, seems like there is always something but this morning was awesome start to finish and the wort tasted incredible, it should really be a good one.
