Nominations For The Holiday 2016/17 BOTM Are Now Open

Post by The_Professor »

INFO ON NOMINATIONS AND VOTING
Any member of BeerBorg.com is eligible to be nominated for the Brewer Of The Month.
A member may make one nomination. It is helpful to post why you are making the nomination.
A member may make any number of seconds.
Any member that receives a nomination and second from separate persons will be included in the poll.
A previous BOTM cannot be nominated again until at least one year after the month they were BOTM.
It is in bad taste to nominate or second yourself, but you are free to vote for yourself if you choose. (Don't blame anyone else if you lose by one vote. :) )
Rather than restrict nominations in some way the number of choices per poll are increased due to the number of nominees. There will be one vote up to 5 nominees, two votes with 6-10, and three votes should more than 10 members ever be nominated.
So WTF is going on with the BOTM anyway?
It has been on hold for a couple months because the BOTM award/thingy has never caught up with FedoraDave. The last time I PMed him that is still the case. I said that the BOTM would continue in December no matter the status of the BOTM award/thingy and now I am late getting around to it. As we're coming up on the holidays people will be busy both at the end of December and the beginning of January so I thought the best idea would be a Holiday BOTM for both months.

So we are looking for your top notch nominations. Someone that puts the "ho" in Ho Ho Ho. Someone that puts the "X" in Xmas. Wait a minute, that sounds bad. How about someone that puts the "ew" in New and the "ear" in Year? I'm not sure that's much better. So how about you all make your nominations and tell us what your nominee brings to the table for the Holiday BOTM?

Nominations will be open through 12/11.

Here are the previous nominees that are not eligible again yet:

I am going to houston and grabbing the gadget from said Jon. If not I will make another and customize it to the new home I have found. Win or lose or tie. Thank you for the nominations, i don't think I deserve it because there are way more qualified (yet are not eligible due to 12 month restrictions), than myself. I really need to get some pics on brew day, but it seems I am the one doing all the work these days. I am not into selfies.

I want to nominate Berryman for getting back on the band wagon.

I second Berryman. He's always been someone I want to hang out with and drink a beer with one day.

You know what's weird? When I was BOTM on the Mr. Beer site, there wasn't a BOTM the following month, either. Unprecedented. And I recall someone pointing out that you can't spell "fedora" without "FDR." So there may be a good reason for this glitch in the BOTM.
