How different is the then when fresh? I've only let British IPAs age that long, since they are pretty much all bittering hops they don't change a lot... but 'Merican ones???

Bourbon. My nephew gave me a bourbon Advent calendar, with 24 samples (1-oz) from different distilleries. It's been a blast so far. But I'm about to pour a Chocolate Shake Porter from Boulder Brewing.

Southern Tier 2XMAS. I bought a 6 while out Christmas shopping for the wife today. I drove past the brewery but I knew it's not open until Wed. - Sun. and that's probably a good thing, but gave me the inspiration to buy the 6 pack.

NO, not for me anymore, the last time I drank that stuff I fell flat on a cement floor, lost track of time, was bleeding from everywhere, broke my glasses, The wife and dog didn't recognize me, I found my way from my basement upstairs to my bed, went to work the next day and everybody said WTF you get run over by a train last night. OK I'll have some with you, sounds good

Don't blame ya! I only take a few sips here and there, too many steps from the basement to the second floor!! I made this stuff a little strong, did not like it. Poured it back it a bucket, added more apple cider to tame in and poured back into quart jars. I probably should add a cinnamon stick to each jar, did not come out quite strong (spicy) enough. BUT, it is good. Here's the recipe, it's been around a while, easy to mix up. I got goofy and used twice the amount of grain it called for, next time I read the instructions a little better.... LOL Has one heck of a kick.
Flashbacks to Nashville '15... The Blackstone taproom looks great. A lot different than the kegerator and picnic tables from our visit. Haven't been over here since our tour in '15. Of course I'm drinking this year's Black Belle...
