How much have you brewed in 2017?

Post by swenocha »

So, after a hugely disappointing 2016, I'm preemptively creating the 2017 thread in hopes I actually get my act together and rejoining the world of brewing as well as the BeerBorg. Only 2 beer brew days this year(!) along with 5 ciders isn't going to cut it for 2017...

Thread guidance: create one (and only one) post and continuously edit it throughout the year, adding your ongoing brewing adventures. Generally people add the date, style of beer, size of batch, and any other stats or info you would like to keep, along with a running total at the end of the thread. That's about it...

So... holding this spot...

1/2 - #103: White IPA (3 gallon) - Bottled 1/29
3/11 - #104: Goodbelly Blackberry Pomengranite Wheat (3 gallon)
4/22 - #105: Cider (1 gallon)
7/23 - Vanilla Cream Soda (2.5 gallon - yeah, soda... but as lame as my brewing has been this year, I'm counting it)
10/15 - #106: Cashmere White DIPA (2.5 gal) - Bottled 11/5

Total: 12 gallons

Up to 22.13 gallons as of 4/17/17. However, I've brewed 660 more gallons not for my own consumption. I think I will win this year... :o

Reserving my 2017 spot too and looking forward to brewing a bit more than I had in 2016, which included 30 gallons of Witbier brewed over the summer.

Hey Fellow Borg, just brewed my first batch this morning.A doctored up Munton's Best Bitter. I brewed this one before as a 2.5 gallon batch, and it was way too hoppy, and I know now why it was. Munton's Old Ale is for 1.5 gallons, so I just figured the Bitter was the same.WRONG...so this batch I added an extra # of DME to balance it out somewhat. I don't brew over the summer months so I go like a madman to get alot brewed in the allotted time frame.Last year it got more like work, and less fun like a hobby is supposed to be,so this year I'm going to try and ramp production back by 1/2. I'm the only one who drinks my brews,so if I run out,its my fault. Anyways have a good brewing season to all. Cheers!

1/3/17 - Muntons Best Bitter - 2.5 gal.
1/17/17 - Honey Lite - 2.5 gal.
1/31/17 - Kolsch Style - 2.5 gal.
2/15/17-Cascade Pale Ale-2.5 gal.
2/15/17- Porter(Blackberry Flavoring to be added @bottling)-2.5 gal.
2/28/17- Dark Ale- 5 gal.
3/14/17 - Pale style ale - 5 gal.
3/28/17- Mr. Beer Cerveza w/Grains +booster -2.5 gal.
9/13/17 - B/D Sinfull Swill + - 2.5 gal.
3/28/17 - Mr. Beer Cerveza w/ 1# dme,1oz. Hallertau hops +booster -2.5 gal.
9/13/17 - B/D Cult Classic + - 2.5 gal.
9/13/17 - B/D Witbier - 1 gal.
9/26/17 - B/D Wheatbier - 2.5 gal.
9/26/17 - B/D Nut Brown Ale - 2.5 gal.
10/24/17 - B/D I.P.A. + booster - 2.5 gal.
