Cleaning a Better Bottle

Post by Beer-lord »

I've been concerned about what PBW sitting in a Better Bottle too long will do and found this info on how to clean them if anyone is interested:

It seems I've been using too much PBW and I will now reduce the concentration of it as well as how long I let it sit. Maybe this is just another part of my beer OCD problem.

I did the calculations and use 1.4 Tbsp per gallon of water. I have read conflicting posts regard the amount of time to let it sit. I usually clean bottles for about 15 minutes with warm to hot water. I have read that carboys can be allowed to sit overnight.
